Cross country rally navigator training course
Because Cross country rally unfolds across vast open spaces, it can only be learned in the desert. That's why the rally-raid courses I offer take place in Morocco. A true home to some of the world's greatest rallies, Morocco is the ideal ground for rally-raid, offering a variety of terrain, from fast tracks to the great dunes of the south, by way of the winding mountain trails of the Atlas. Every condition for complete training is there: heading navigation, parallel tracks, off-road and dunes. All facets of the navigator's job are covered, with a theory section and plenty of practice to master the essentials: reading and interpreting both electronic and paper roadbooks, using the navigation instruments, time checkpoints, in-car communication, emergency mechanics, race management and every key aspect of navigation. The course can be taken individually, as a driver/navigator crew, or in a small group.
Theory training:
The theory session takes place before your departure — either in person, by video call, or on the first day of your course — so that you arrive as well prepared as possible and get the most out of the practical training. This module lasts between 4 and 8 hours, depending on your needs and personal requests. Every course is tailored, and many topics can be covered according to your needs and your rally experience: administrative checks, time checkpoints, navigation basics, roadbook reading, use of navigation instruments, in-car psychology, and much more. Of course, it's also a moment of exchange, where I answer any questions you may have about the navigator's role.
Practical training:
Duration ranges from 1 to 3 days depending on the chosen package. Aboard an off-road vehicle suited to the tracks and equipped for navigation with an electronic roadbook, I offer a series of rally special stages that we tackle together to work on your navigation. Fast stages, dunes, off-road: the variety of dedicated routes lets us target different aspects according to your personal needs. Each stage is followed by a debrief, so we can go over the points to work on for the next one. Naturally, the stages are punctuated with varied exercises that will help you progress quickly and prepare for every situation you might face during a rally.

Cover a wide variety of terrain, from fast tracks to the great dunes of the Sahara, taking in mountain trails, plateaus, chotts, wadis and ergs. A complete experience to prepare you for any situation you might encounter.
